Peaches on tree

Welcome to the inaugural episode of Fresh Food!

Going back to antiquity, these delicious stone fruits are best enjoyed in the summertime and are available in too many varieties to list. So I just break them down to two commonly marketed types: white and yellow.

In this episode, you’ll find out the differences between white and yellow fruit, freestone vs clingstone, where peaches came from, who grows the most, and much more.

Ultimately, this series is here to help you learn about the fresh foods you eat and enjoy, and, as a bonus, you’ll also learn about some that you’ve probably never heard of!

This is just the start and we’d like you to grow with us!

Let us know what you think of Fresh Food so far. Do you like it, hate it, what foods do you want to know more about, how can we make it better for you?

Note: Although you can listen in from anywhere in the world, our shows mainly contain information about fresh food found in the United States and Canada. That’s where I gained all of my experience in the industry, so if I fail to mention food that you’re familiar with, I myself may have never encountered it.
